Label roll positions, re-wind, and simply wound are terms commonly spoken in the label printing world, although some folks might not be too familiar with what these terms mean. SixB provides a safe space for all questions, and no one is here to judge you.
Label roll outputs are commonly wound into one of the eight positions recognized by the labeling industry. The standard is influential for post-label production when rolls are then placed into the likes of printers and applicators for additional packaging processes. Keep in mind that rewind positions are mostly used for machine applications.
Here are some considerations for making orders where labels will involve machine applications:

Client Chats Series — SixB Labels' client, and North Texas local, James Williams, of Sunnyvale Honey Producers, recently shared his company and custom Honey Labels story with us.
How did you get started in the honey business?I began producing honey back in the 1980’s, in Baytown, Texas. My parents' next-door neighbor kept bees; watching him got me interested. I started with 25 hives, then 100, and kept it growing. At first, I sold honey by the barrel to packers, who resold primarily to bakeries, like Mrs. Baird’s. Eventually I relocated to Sunnyvale, outside Mesquite, Texas, and developed a retail business serving the greater North Texas area.
On Monday, February 8th, eager with anticipation, we walked into the Anaheim Convention Center to set up our booth for WestPack 2016, surrounded by colleagues, competitors, forklifts, golf carts and much more.
The event, which offered us a medley of surprises, ended up being one of our best years yet with the WestPack family.
Any time we meet someone new, and learn about their business and journey, it is a pretty joyous surprise. Well, we had a happy amount of such situations, meeting with businesses in a variety of industries, including Food, Beverage, Cosmetics, Beauty, Packaging, Electronic, Technology, Manufacturing and beyond. We were also given opportunities to connect with such partners as Sato and Epson, and to share their printers with our booth visitors.

Motivation Mondays Series — As we continue through the first weeks of 2016, some of us might have let go of exercise-based New Year’s resolutions. To those going strong on such resolutions: power to you, and keep it up! Meanwhile, many in our group are not so physically inclined when it comes to running.
You might have seen it on Instagram, Twitter or more recently on Facebook. The trending hashtag “Blessed,” followed by an emoji of two hands coming together, for posts where folks are showing something they tend to be grateful for. We believe our Blessed Stickers are symbolic for our shared vocabulary year-round, and particularly over these next two holiday weeks.
The Thanksgiving Holiday Week is underway. The optimistic perspective is that family and friends come together to share food, drink and grateful anecdotes.
