How To Weave Pantone's 2022 Color of the Year Into Labeling?

Happy Gregorian Calendar New Year, Lunar New Year and a Very Peri PANTONE Color of the Year 2022!

Personally I am a proud PANTONE Color Products enthusiast, sipping my coffee from a PANTONE 520 Aubergine-hued mug as I write this post. As we were developing our end-of-2021 marketing, I made sure we weaved in the year’s two colors — PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating. So it should not be much of a surprise that I was waiting in anticipation for them to announce their 2022 Color of The Year: PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri.

We are so excited to start using the color in our marketing that the SixB team designed some festive logos for the occasion, featured here, incorporating a solid Very Peri in reverse as well as one with an image of fibers and orbs in reverse, as PANTONE has been highlighting in their materials about the color.

    PIA MidAmerica Print Awards — Highlights, 2017 - 2020

As we now enter the final quarter of 2020, SixB Labels looks back with satisfaction over the last four years of accolades received from the Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica, a regional division of the larger organization, Printing Industries of America (PIA), covering Texas, Oklahoma Kansas and Missouri. The SixB Labels Family is pleased to be members in good standing with PIA. And we are just as happy to be the recipient of a number of custom label printing awards from this body because there is no better compliment than respect from a jury of one's peers the reward for our proud participation in the PIA.

How to Comply With Proposed FDA Nutrition Labeling Requirements

As part of SixB Labels' focus on Simplifying Labeling for our clients, we have developed a white paper on the proposed Food and Drug Administration nutrition label revisions that were supposed to go into effect this year. While the FDA has placed the revisions deadline on hold, we still believe the white paper is a valuable resource for food manufacturers to evaluate labeling.

( NOTE: This is our 2018 Blog, click here for our latest FDA blog  )

Most Americans surveyed have said that they use the nutrition facts label on food products to make better shopping choices.  As a result, the FDA has spent more than two years working on updated guidelines for food labels, meant to incorporate the latest information from nutrition science, in accordance with the new 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the newest Institute of Medicine recommendations.  The format changes should also make it easier for consumers to access this information, to help them make the right food choices for themselves and their families.
